Good Afternoon Golfers,

Due to the State Government’s decision this afternoon on going into a 5 day state-wide lockdown, Maryborough Golf Club will be closed to any Golf activity between Midnight tonight, Friday the 12th of February to Midnight, Wednesday the 17th of February.

Unfortunately all competitions during this lockdown have been postponed  by 1 week, such as the Men’s and Ladies Club Championship and the Herb McKinley Cup.

Josh and his team have put signs and bunting at entry points to minimise access onto the course.  However, the course can be used for exercise (walking or jogging) only.

Please note that anyone seen accessing the Golf Course to participate in any golfing activity such as practice chipping or putting during this lockdown is breaking the Law.  They are liable to fines.  Additionally, they will be required to meet with the Golf Committee where disciplinary action may result.

We are all in this together and so, please adhere to the rules of the lockdown so that we all can get back to playing a game we love.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Anthony Passalick

Men’s Captain
